Artist Bio

Hello and thank you for visiting my website. 

I have enjoyed creating art since I was a child and this passion has followed me into adulthood. Despite having arts and sciences equally represented whilst at school, I ended up making the decision to head off to the Royal Vet College in London and become a veterinary surgeon. I found that my inspiration to draw and paint waned considerably when I qualified and started working as a vet, but thankfully my love for painting has been reignited in the last few years. 

I have always been fascinated by the natural world and captivated by the beauty within. Moreover, I have surrounded myself by animals who feature heavily. I live on the north coast of Northern Ireland; the rugged and varied landscape is enchanting and offers so much inspiration, from barn owl chicks in the  loft, to hares bursting from the rushes amidst fields of sheep. 

I love to experiment in my work using a combination of painting and mixed media to try and capture the essence of what I see around me.
